Beulah volunteers help on a rotational basis with other volunteers to help pack the foods for the children each Friday.

We raise money and send a team of walkers to participate in the bi-state walk that includes both the Illinois and Iowa sides of the river, crossing the Centennial Bridge over the Mississippi River. For the past several years, Beulah has received the Golden Shoe Award which is awarded to churches who collect more than $1,000 for the cause.

This was an expansion of our existing Hat & Mitton collection project that we have been doing for many years. Through grants and fund-raising, we have been able to expand this program to include the purchases of new snow boots and socks to help keep children in two surrounding school districts warm from there “Head to their Toes”.

In addition members of the Beulah Presbyterian Church help at these pantries on the distribution days at the Food Pantries. The Orion Food Pantry also has a weekly Backpack Program where they provide a bag of nutritional foods to be sent home with children on Fridays who may not have nutritional meals available to them over the weekend. Beulah members help pack these bags on a rotational basis with other community members.
