Church Organ Dedication Series

Three Events to Dedicate Beulah’s Allen Digital Computer Organ:

 

Event 1 – An Introduction to the Allen Renaissance R-230 Organ

o When: June 28, 2026, at 6:30 pm

o Where: Beulah Presbyterian Church, 9221 148th Ave, Orion, IL

o Organist: Stephen Steely

Stephen holds degrees in Organ Performance, Sacred Music, and Music History, from Hastings College, and Southern Methodist University. His doctoral studies were at the University of Iowa, as a pupil of Delbert Disselhorst and Gerhard Krapf.

o Program: A combination of narratives to describe and explain the features, sounds, and beauty of the instrument with each talk followed by a selection of music to showcase particular feature(s).

o Refreshments: Whitey’s Ice Cream

 

Event 2 – Celebrating the Music of Marion Wilson and Jimmae Wells

o When: September 13, 2026, at 6:30 pm

o Where: Beulah Presbyterian Church, 9221 148th Ave, Orion, IL

o Organist: Chon Wherry

o Pianist: Laura Crumbleholme

o Program: A dedicatory program of piano/organ duets and congregational singing using music from the Wilson/Wells library, honoring the past musical history of Beulah Presbyterian Church.

o Refreshments: To be determined.

 

Event 3 – Imagine the Possibilities – An Exploration of Organ in

Contemporary Worship

o When: January 24, 2027, at 3:00 pm

o Where: Beulah Presbyterian Church, 9221 148th Ave, Orion, IL

o Organist: Gail Tutt

o Program: An interactive event for the congregation with hymns and other instruments. Includes some fresh arrangements and new music for worship. Organ accompanied by guitar, flute, percussion, piano, and singing.

o Refreshments: To be determined.
